Welcome Councilmember Alexis Rinck, 2025 Rhythms of Resilience Keynote Speaker!

We are honored to announce the keynote speaker for Casa Latina’s Rhythms of Resilience Gala on Saturday, October 4: Seattle City Councilmember Alexis Mercedes Rinck.

Councilmember Rinck’s story is one of resilience and determination. Born to teenage parents and raised by her grandparents, she witnessed firsthand the cycles of incarceration, substance use, and homelessness within her own family. These experiences didn’t define her, they fueled her.

From leading grassroots campaigns at Syracuse University to supporting immigrant rights, advancing social housing, and strengthening resources for working families here in Seattle, Alexis has always stood with communities that have been historically marginalized. Before joining City Council, she shaped regional policy as a leader at the King County Regional Homelessness Authority and supported human services across 38 cities during the COVID-19 pandemic. Today, she continues to bring people together around community-driven solutions that center working families and immigrant communities.

Like Casa Latina, Alexis believes in uplifting community voices and building collective power. We know her words will ground us in resilience and inspire us to continue advancing immigrant rights and worker justice, especially in this critical moment.

Please join us in welcoming Councilmember Alexis Rinck as our keynote speaker; we look forward to hearing her vision and energy at Rhythms of Resilience!
