Casa Latina's 2021 Annual Celebration
When we work together and organize together, there is power and progress for us all. Casa Latina’s virtual gala, Rooted & Resilient was a huge success. Together — we invited over 300 guests and raised over $203,394 to advance the power and well-being of Latino immigrant workers.
Mil gracias to our keynote speaker Maria Hinojosa, Casa Latina leader Jorge Zepeda, featured poet Raúl Sánchez, and our hosts Karina Gasperin and Lauren Du Pree.
Our speakers inspired us to continue working together to build a better future for immigrant communities in our nation and around the world. We listened from Jorge, a long-time Casa Latina member whose leadership helped support the community through COVID-19 and Maria Hinojosa, a four-time Emmy winner journalist who has been championing the stories from under-reported communities for over 30 years.
