Our Work
Wage Theft Assistance
Casa Latina has a Worker Defense Committee that supports immigrants facing wage theft or workplace discrimination.
We are a group of workers and community allies that organize to support workers in recovering unpaid wages. All workers have the right to be paid for their work, regardless of immigration status.
Are you concerned your employer is not respecting your rights at work? Do you have unpaid hours, unpaid sick time, or missing paychecks? Have you experienced discrimination or retaliation for demanding your rights? Call the Worker Defense Committee Monday-Thursday 4 PM – 6 PM and Friday 10AM – 5PM at (206) 375-7283 for a consultation with our Worker Rights Case Specialist.
To receive support with a wage-theft claim, please prepare any records or details of hours worked, with directions to job sites and information about the employer ready for discussion. Important documents to include are any time cards, paystubs, text messages, registries of hours, direction to the job sites, and photos.
If you have general questions about your rights as a worker in Washington, call our Worker Rights Coordinator at (206) 816-5824 Monday – Friday 10 AM – 6 PM or email paola@casa-latina.org.
Casa Latina is proud to partner with the Seattle Office of Labor Standards (OLS) to provide outreach and education about Seattle’s labor standards. If you would like to learn more about OLS please contact OLS at 206-256-5297 or visit the OLS website at https://www.seattle.gov/laborstandards.
