Did you know the number of jobs dispatched at Casa Latina in the winter represents a 50% drop from our high season in the summer?
What does this mean for Casa Latina and our workers? We're READY every day to support our members with a warm community space to gather and with creative ways to get ahead. Our staff and volunteers use the winter to design new English classes and job skills classes—we can't wait to introduce our painting and drywall class in early 2018. And in the winter, member participation in these classes and workshops jumps to record numbers.
What does this mean for YOU? Winter is the perfect time to hire a worker. Our workers can help with winter chores, raking leaves, holiday cleaning, hanging lights, and more! By hiring a worker, you'll be putting money directly in the pocket of someone who needs it—right when they need it most.
